Munnar

Munnar is situated in the Western Ghats at an altitude of approximately 1700 meters above mean sea level. Being a scenic hill station it was favoured by the British as their summer resort. Known for extensive tea plantations and lakes, Munnar is a heaven for nature lovers. The town also has an Indo-Swiss Farm at Mattupetti and Ervikulam (Rajamalai) National Park which is home to the endangered Nilgiri Thar.
