COCHIN - KOCHI

Cochin or Kochi is situated in the central part of Kerala in the Ernakulam district. Kochi is a place for the history buffs, the shoppers, the beach studs and the lazy vacationers alike. Like most of the places in Kerala, Kochi has beaches and hill stations within a 4 hour drive radius. Munnar, Vagamon, Alapuzha etc are very close to Ernakulam. But, if you are not in the mood to travel, you can stay at Kochi and enjoy the sites the city has in store for you. Kochi has a wide range of possible activities depending on what one wants to do. Beaches are, of course, the main attraction together with the historical sites. So if you go to Fort Kochi or Mattancherry, you can enjoy the beach and walk around the neighbourhood of beautiful buildings, restaurants and stores selling handicrafts & spices.
